AMBRA Group – good performance maintained in the domestic market

Despite a weaker quarter due to a later date for Easter, AMBRA Group completed three quarters by continuing upward trend: the cumulative sales increased by 1.7% reaching the amount of PLN 414.1 million, net profit amounted to PLN 22.7 million (an increase of 12.4%) and operating cash flow reached the amount of PLN 35.9 million (an increase of 21.8%).

Dynamic growth in the Polish market drives profits of the AMBRA Group

The AMBRA Group, the leading manufacturer and distributor of wines in Central and Eastern Europe, recorded a rise in sales and profits for the first half of the financial year 2010/2011, fuelled by increased profitability of its business. Net profit reached a record level of PLN 27.1 million, and the main growth driver was the Polish market, in which Group revenues were up by 8.8%. Sales in the largest and the most promising segment of still wines surged at the fastest pace. In Poland the sales growth rate in this segment soared beyond 17%.

Successful Q1 of the AMBRA Group – Sales and Profit Increase

In the first quarter of the financial year 2010/2011 net profit of the AMBRA Group amounted to PLN 3.2 million as compared with PLN 0.3 million during the equivalent period last year. The Group sales increased by 3%, and the main drive of the growth was Polish market which is the most important for the AMBRA Group. Sales on that market increased by 11.4%.

The AMBRA Group ends the fiscal year 2009/2010 with a threefold increase in profits and acquisition of well known brands

During the fiscal year 2009/2010 the AMBRA Group achieved a PLN 14.9 million net profit, which is nearly three times the last year's amount. The Group's operating profit reached a record level of PLN 39.4 million. Purchases of the „El Sol" and „Pliska Pomorie" brands will be a source of further increased performance. Net profit for the shareholders of AMBRA S.A. grew to PLN 14.9 million in comparison with last year's PLN 5.1 million. Operating profit (EBIT) reached a record level of PLN 39.4 million, and bettered last year's result by over PLN 18 million.
